In 2002, Sheldon was invited to New Zealand to photograph the Indoor Cricket World Cup.
His coverage of the World Cup so impressed the New Zealand Indoor Cricket authorities, they invited him back in 2003 to cover the World Indoor Cricket Masters and the inaugural World Under 19 Championships.
