Sun setting on ocean, beach, and part of the 2011 Sculpture By The Sea exhibition, "Lifeboat" by Marwa Fahmy, Kate Parker, Emma Danks, Elizabeth Marpole and Stephen Genovese . This art installation featured 1,697 waxed-paper origami-boats cascading down a grassed slope, commemorating the January 1697 landing of three Dutch ships under the command of Captain Willem de Vlamingh at what is now Cottesloe.
